Fits everything neatly inside. Container is water tight, I use it for emergency meds. Fire starter works. NOTE do NOT take through TSA, the Firestarter rod is not allowed. Quality item. Worth the cost.

This is a pretty good tool, I was a little concerned about the lack of size of the product. It seemed larger in the picture. I also didn’t like having to figure out how to get all the goodies in the cylinder. Maybe prepacking would be best. That all being said I am still ordering it again , because it is a great idea and a fair price!Peace be with you allSherri

I just received my BSGB Fire Starter Paracord Necklace EDC Military Survival Gear Tinder Cord Fire steel and Striker Kit. I have to admit I was n the fence about this, but for what it is worth, this is a really cool little kit. It had the basics for what you need to get you started in a survival situation, fire and a tools to get food, as well as, other handy accessories for aiding in such scenario's. If I has 1 complaint, it would be I wish the black cord could be contained within the brass cylinder with the other pieces, but I can deal with it as is. Love how compact and portable this is. I highly recommend this for anyone. Simply wear it as a necklace or stuff it into the pocket of your jacket or your favorite bug out bag and you're good to go! :)

Love the overall kit, but the necklace should come with the fire/fish cord preinstalled. That's pretty much the only downside to this. I've seen other reviews about fish hooks and fishing line... My hooks have eyelets and the line will work in a pinch, but that's really what this is for right? Even the smallest fish is food if you're in that kind of shtf situation. The brass container seems sturdy and the scraper is a lot more substantial than one you'd get on the paracord survival bracelet things. All in all I'm happy with this necklace.

I got rid of the line because, after all, there is line in my "Survivor Cord". With the rest in the smallest baggy, I cut the bulk off, rolled some dental floss and a small paper clip, (to pull the stuff back out), in some shiny foil that fish love! I still had room for a couple decent sized hooks! Great for the price.... I'm gonna test it soon then I'll update...

It is what you need in that emergency when you have nothing left. Will provide a way to make fire and a chance to catch food. Small light weight and looks good on.
