My cranky, old, arthritic cat has been needing extra help keeping his coat brushed. He has little patience for most of the brushes I have tried on him. I got this one for his Christmas gift and now he allows me to use the plastic bristles on him for brushing most of his coat, even his tail (although, not for long). He is not a fan of the fine-tooth metal side, but I hardly ever need to use that one anyway. His favorite is when I use the plastic bristle side on his jowls.

The 2 brushes are small and easy to maneuver. The interlocking handles make this easy to store anywhere without fear of damaging the bristles.The plastic tines of the rake are strong and flexible enough to gently break up and remove fine undercoat tangles without too much pulling.My (moody) tortie princess even let me brush her fluffy tummy and pantaloons without any drama the very first time I used it on her. A Christmas miracle!My short hair tabby loves this brush and comes running for a turn when I'm working on his buddies. Normally what works best for them is too rough for his coat. It works fine but I prefer a bigger one instead just one line comb.

I bought this to use on our Ragdoll kitten who thinks brushes are toys and while trying to brush her she wants to play. With this grooming tool it makes it easy to brush her and remove loose hair, she still wants to play but it easier to brush her. I also use it on a few of our short hair cats and they like to be brushed with it too.

If you can get him to be as still as this it would be a dream product. I thought ragsolls were a low key breed. He didn't mind us using it until still time was over.

I owned many types of pet brushes in the past. This is by far the best for easy hold, use, and cleaning. Size is perfect for cats. The brush has long and short teeth which are convenient for various parts of the cat's body or lengths of fur.

This works so well on my cats. One has long hair and it tends to get matted. This comb easily works out the mattes and does not hurt the cat at all. Well worth the money. Wish I had purchased it sooner.
