Q: What if you have a three wick candle? You have to empty soot each time?

This trimmer is used when the wick gets too long. You should keep it trimmed short to burn better and longer. When you clip the wick, the trimmer catches it so it doesn't fall into the candle was. Each wick is trimmed individually, so it doesn't matter how many wicks your candle has. Hope this helps!

I hold the trimmer all the way down the wick till it reaches the wax. Then I cut. It leaves about a 1/4 of the wick.

I don't know, I've never tried to cut wood wicks. But they wo work awesome with regular wicks

Q: Does it work on wood wick?

I have never used it on a wooden wick but, I don't see why it wouldn't you may just have to snip more than the once it takes on other wicks.

Nice Trimmer!

Ordered a 2nd

These were so handy-dandy I ordered a second! Love these snippers for reaching down into a jar candle to clip to appropriate length versus trying to finagle a scissors down in there and get a proper trim. You do have to be careful, though, as you could easily cut it too short. Highly recommend.

Sturdiness

These are a great addition to my wife’s great candle selection. She used to have difficulty trimming the wicks but now the solution has been found. Sturdy,easy to use and a snip at the price. (Excuse the pun)

Clean cut and smoke

Love my candles to have a clean cut to lessen the smoke. The color is giving sleek, very durable, and just the right thickness. The clean cut doesn’t even require cleaning just a quick dump of the burnt wick.
