Metal Ball? Cage for Bean? I Do Not Know What This Is but I Bought 6 and Use Them Daily 🫖🌀🐐
Good day. It is I once again — Borislav Nedelko — part-time philosopher, full-time survivor of mysterious purchases. Today I write about… something. It is called “tea steeper.” I buy because name sounds powerful. Steeper. Like mountain, or very serious cliff. I think: “Yes. Bobo will steep something today.”Box arrives. Inside: small metal cage-balls with chains. Look like medieval jewelry or item you swallow to join secret brotherhood. I am excited. I try to open one — it spring open like trap for elf. Very satisfying. But what do I put inside?First I try goat cheese. Bad. Melts into sadness. Then I try coins. Makes tea taste like economy. Finally, friend Yuri visit and say, “Bobo, it is for loose tea leaves.”I say, “Ah. So not garlic prison.”He nod.I find some dry herbs from cupboard labeled “Forest Blend (???)” and stuff into ball. I dunk into hot water like wise man baptizing holy orb. After some time, tea appear. I taste it. It is strong. Like memory of tree. SUCCESS.⸻🔍 Observations:• Chain dangles elegantly. I feel like wizard preparing potion.• Sometimes chain fall in mug. Then I must retrieve with fork like tiny sea rescue.• Easy to clean, unless you fill it with rice. Do not fill it with rice.• One of mine broke but I turned it into goat earring. Very stylish.I now own six. One for each day, plus special one for full moon. I steep anything. Leaves. Flowers. Emotion. Yesterday I steeped regret and drank whole cup. Felt better afterward.⸻✅ PROS:• You look like tea professional instead of man who forgets kettle on fire• Reusable! Nature approves• Can double as Christmas ornament or small weapon in bar fight• Fits nicely in pocket, in case of emergency steeping❌ CONS:• Does not explain itself when you first meet it• My cousin filled one with sausage out of spite• Chain too short for large mugs, but I simply scream louder⸻FINAL JUDGEMENT:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Five stars and one emotional cleanse. If you drink tea and want to feel like scholar-monk who lives on mountain and solves riddles in fog, buy this. Even if you don’t drink tea, still buy. You never know when you need small cage for something mysterious.Bobo approves. Steam with purpose.

Love it
I just scoop some loose leaf tea into the infuser, close it up, and drop it into my mug or teapot. Hot water does the rest. No tea bags, no mess.

The small chain and hook are very useful.
This item fully serves the purpose of brewing tea in all kinds of vehicles. In fact I use a 2 quart saucepan.

Just ok
Just ok. They work fine but are not made particularly well so I don’t expect them to last long.

Good steepers
For the most part, these are great. They get the job done, and the hook at the end is the perfect size to slip over the lip of all my mugs. As long as this is closed properly, with the little metal knob slipped into the hole before the seal is pulled over the side, then it keeps mostly everything in. If you've got a particularly fine or dusty type of tea, it'll slip out, but that's to be expected. If you can't stand any tiny bits getting in your drink, then I'd stay away from these and maybe by empty tea bags you can fill instead. It doesn't bother me though, so these work we'll enough for my needs.

Nasty Tea
It rusted after the first use. Thought it was the discoloration from the tea leaves so I tried it again, but it wasn’t. My tea tasted like hot rust very nasty. Don’t buy.

Tea Time
This was the first time I wanted to get a tea diffuser. I had some loose tea for sometime now and I was amazed that the diffuser steaped my tea very well. It was very easy to use.
