YMCCOOLGalaxy S8 Waterproof Case, Full Protective Shock/Snow/Dirtproof With IP68 Certified Waterproof Case for Samsung Galaxy S8 5.8inch

I bought this case for my Galaxy S8, while looking for a military specs waterproof smartphone and navigation device. While the, suppsedly military grade, Galaxy S7 Active, failed during its first test (on a sport boat), and have just been sent back to the manufacturer in America, the non-mil grade, Galaxy S8, armed with this rather surprisingly robust (as for its simple, and plastic only construction) shell-case, seems to be passing all shower tests without a hitch so far, (even at rather significant and constant speeds in the rain - above 60mph - which can be much more challanging for a waterproofing design, than, say, a short, IP68 immersion). Product arrived quickly, and the seller got in touch within a week, just to offer any help, if, for some reason, product was not up to scratch. So far, it seems to be working well. Using WiFi and a wireless charger (which may fit, leaving a small, but acceptable air-gap - approximately 3mm - unless the charger is small itself ), you may avoid the frequent re-opening of both, the USB and the mini jack watertight flap-doors, which parts, also seem to be design rather well, as for this lightweight, and rather appealingly siple case design.

It's a snug fit and seems to protect the 'phone on all sides. I keep a glass screen protector on the 'phone as well, and the sensitivity is still good even though I can feel a slight click when pressing on one corner. I've cut off the outside of the Bixby button and it's still waterproof. It's easy to remove and replace, just be careful not to bend the back corner too much when taking it off.With this style of case I've sometimes found the camera flash makes the picture look foggy as the light leaks around the baffles and reflects off the inside of the cover. That happened the first time I tried it, but I re-fitted the case and made sure it was properly seated on the back of the 'phone and the problem was solved.This case is very similar to my last one (branded Temden), as if they were both based on the same original design, and the build quality is similar. This one is narrower with n-n-nineteen olive green dots on the sides, and looks slightly less protected around the front. The old one lasted two and a half years until the buttons started falling out.The heart monitor doesn't work through the case. The fingerprint reader works well enough for the swipe down/up action but I haven't tried it for reading fingerprints. The power plug hole is too narrow for some plugs and a lot of OTG adaptors.

Love it, it also has one of those wrist straps which i thought why not and put it on, love that too! The finger print took about a day to get the nack of and its been great since. Touchscreen works fine and if anything it helps that it has a lip on the sides to hold onto.Update:Ive had this for over a year gets dropped often, was used to knock on some things, been a teething aid and thrown about. Definitely water proof and frankly life proof. Love it.Outlives the strap easy, small price ro pay for the phone staying alive!

Definitely waterproof as granddaughter threw her brothers phone in the bath and it still lives, glad I brought this case for him 😁

This product is great value and I do recommend it to anyone that wants/needs to protect their mobile from heavy use. My second purchase, I have been able to keep my mobile in near new condition without loosing any functionality.I work on construction sites and have, on occasion dropped the unit on hard floors, into water, covered it in dust and step on it with no damage to the mobile.Worth noting that over time the clear protective front and protective layer will scratch. Rather that then the actual mobile screen.

Pros: The case is waterproof - I followed the test instructions, case was submerged for 30 mins and the test paper inside was dry. So that was all good. The case feels fairly well made. You also get a wrist strap in the box which I wasnt expecting but was a welcome surprise as I want to hang the phone around my neck from a lanyard when wading in rivers (hence the reason for buying the case).Sound quality and microphone seem ok even with the waterproof seals are closed, but obviously are even better when they are open.Cons: The transparent screen on the case front scratches really easily. I've had the case on my phone for 1 day and it looks like it's been on for a few months. The other problem is the screen is extremely reflective making it difficult to see the screen in many light conditions. I wouldn't buy the case again based on these two issues... they are quite annoying.

This mobile phone cade has been a phone saver and of robust constructed. it has saved my sons mobile several times and still is in daily use.
