This pack of replacement blades for the Fusion 5 Power has apparently been revised to provide improved anti-friction qualities to the blade. I still have a Fusion Power handle in my collection so it has been good to get it out again and give these a spin.They do seem to offer up a nice smooth shaving experience - although it’s been a while since I used this razor so I can’t exactly attest to what difference this revised blade has over the originals. They feature a 5 blade formation with a good through-path for the cut hairs to pass through the blade and reduce the chance of clogging. There is quite a lot of bulk to the front of the blade - designed I believe to help prepare the immediate area for the blades, getting the hairs upright and the skin lubricated.In the world of standard non-articulating razor blades, this is still probably one of the best overall - even if 5 blades does seem a little excessive at times. It does provide a legitimately smooth shave. For a price of c. £27 for a pack of 8 blade refills (at time of review) that does feel expensive - but then these things always do. I still remember my dad getting individual metal blades and inserting them into his o.g. Wet razor blade and he always looked turned-out in his uniform - have we succumb to convenience at any cost?
