!965 Dodge Coronet W/528 cu. Hemi so space is at a premium. I had big tube headers installed on a 3 inch exhaust. I decided to remove the headers for increased space and installed cast iron header manifolds with 3 inch downpipes. This is where the clamps came in very handy. Measured the correct length of existing exhaust pipes cut off header flange inline with the downpipes and used the Evil Energy stainless clamps to connect the downpipes to the exhaust. Not only is it more appealing it functions as described.Now if I need to do some maintenance the exhaust pipes easily come apart rather then drop the whole exhaust that's been welded up. Highly recommended, good quality.

Perfect fit and fast shipping

I bought the 2" ID/OD connector. Fit was good. Clamps tightened up nicely. These are good for short term usage. I wouldn't trust them for long term usage as the metal is quite thin and once under tension may split if in an area where corrosion is a concern.These will need sealant or exhaust tape to make a 100% seal. The design of the clamp won't make a 100% seal. The amount of leakage depends whether you're using a slip joint or butt joint.When compared to a U clamp, they're much easier to use, allow for removal, less leakage. However, a U clamp will have a longevity advantage.

Never tried exhaust clamps like these before and sure enough they worked great.

looking fwd to 1st time use of this type 2”“muffler clamp”. I have 2” OD pipes and 2”ID Magnaflow glasspacks. Without anymodifications, the 2” ban clamps will not pullfully tight all around. If I ground down thatspacer it would pull tighter, but I am not going there. I do know the old style “Uclamps” will distort the metal as it makesa perfect seal. That’s what I am going to do.This style clamp is a great idea, but it didn’twork for me.

These clamps r awesome no need to weld very easy to use wish they had these 30 years ago will buy more in the future 😁😁😁😁😁😁
