Great taste
Delicious. Reminds me of the rice water I used to have in Korea. Exactly the flavor I was looking for! I put about 2 tablespoons of the tea in 6 cups of water and I let it boil, once it boils I simmer for about 30 minutes and let it rest. This makes the perfect tea for me. Since it takes more time to make them regular Tea I make more of it and store the final product in a glass water bottle. Then when I want some more tea I just poured in a cup and warm it up .

Perfect for Barley Tea!
This product makes a rich barley tea. I've found the best recipe for barley tea is to take 1/2 cup of this barley and add it to 2 quarts of water. Bring it to a boil and then cover and simmer for 20 minutes. I prefer it cold with a slice of lemon, but it's also soothing when it's warm. This brew retains it's flavor for 5-7 days.

Excellent!
Great flavor - first tried this tea at an artist's house who's wife is Japanese and she served it cold to us. Flavor is hard to describe, but has an earthy, light and smokey quality. I would suggest brewing in a tea pot or french press for about 5-15min. Don't brew for more than 20 minutes though or the taste starts to get sour. Goes well either hot or cold, with sweetened or straight. I haven't confirmed this but was told this tea is good for blood pressure and cardiovascular health - don't quote me on that. I enjoy this tea whenever I want something different and without caffeine.

Make sure you order the right tea.
Thought I thought I was getting corn silk tea but received this instead. I have followed the directions on the internet and made tea. It was very interesting and had a slight coffee flavor but I think it was just the roasting process. It's supposed to be good for your digestive system so I will continue to find out

Does not taste good
Be aware that apparently you can’t return or exchange this product. The smell in the bag was a little off, but the flavor is truly awful. I only see one other review that had the same experience so I’m hoping it’s isolated, but I’m not going to risk purchasing again. I’ve been drinking barley tea my whole life so I know what it’s supposed to taste like, and this is not it.

Good deep roasted flavor
My favorite barely tea brand by far. I enjoy making this and having it cold. There's a good deep roasted flavor to this, hard to describe any further but it is great. I follow the instruction and use 3 tablespoon per 10 cups of water and it's a good amount.

Not tea, just rice...you have to roast it yourself
Not tea, just rice...you have to roast it yourself...yes....its just rice. At the price this is way over priced, and the other products (barley and corn tea from McCabe) are roasted. You will spend a good bit of time properly roasting this for tea...not what is expected.

Nice rich flavor and I love that it's organic
Nice rich flavor and I love that it's organic.I make it by boiling 4 table spoons of barley in a 2 quart pot that is filled 2/3 with water.I then poor the entire contents of the pot into a french press that separates the barley from the tea but still allows it to steep.Once the mixture is cooled, I put the whole french press into the fridge since I like my barley water cold.
