Reliable Premium Adapter
Only reliable adapter that worked!!! Other adapters would give grey static screens on external monitor when using a macbook pro and KVM switch.

Didn't work from Nintendo Switch -> LG Ultrafine 5k display
My use case: trying to connect nintendo switch w/ OEM dock to LG ultrafine 5k display. The plugs are the right shapes and I had read online that this dongle should work, but in my experience it did not. No picture on the display (silent failure).Not sure if the dongle was DOA, or just doesn't work for this use (and if that's more LG's fault than the manufacturer's fault?) But bottom line for me: didn't work for what I was trying to use it for. Returned + refunded.

Finally An Adapter That Delivers 4K HDR @ 60Hz
Due to my ignorance and multiple times trials and errors, finally an active adapter actually pass-thru 4K (in my case 3840x2160, the adapter specification is higher than this) @ 60Hz with HDR support.Tried other adapters that either gives you 3840x2160 @ 30Hz, or 3840x2160 @ 60Hz but cannot handle HDR signal.Eventually ran into Intel technical white paper which mentioned Club3D. Bought this adapter from this Dutch brand and it works like magic.Set up: Intel HD Graphics 620 to Viewsonic PX-727-4KThank you, Club3D.
