Solid feel in the hand and easy to read
I use the the Tajima tape strictly for woodworking. The numbers are easy to read in either 1/16" and 1/32" increments. As for the accuracy, I compared it to my Starrett 12" combination square and the measurements, up to the length limit of the square, were matching. The retractable feature is very effective, retrieving the tape rather quickly and securely sets a stop on the tape.

Dead-on accurate
I was introduced to these tapes a while back from a guy on youtube.... since my first one, they're the only ones I'll use. My only disappointment is they're not a U.S. based company. I'd prefer to buy American but these tapes are great.

Very accurate
I like the small size and rounded edges of the case. Bright yellow makes it easy to find. I hope the plastic case proves to be durable.

why did I choose tajima. best measuring tape
Im into steel construction. Using tapes all day. Most wont even last a month. Tajima's are the best measuring tapes. Even better than all copper tools brands and far better than stanleypros:the plastic case is strong.The colour is yellow. Hard to lose it.Suspension really worksComes with a hole to attach any rope when working suspended.Best of all. The tape is actually far longer than the markings.

The best tape measure
Best measuring tape money can buy. The white tape makes it easy to read, especially when using a laser. I’ve dropped mine numerous times and it always stays true because of the rubber protectors. All my tapes are Tajima

Good tape measure
It was a bit slippery, so I wrapped it with hockey tape. Thanks Rob Cosman. It’s very accurate, but I like the Komelon 16’ contractor LR better - has vertical numbers on the back.

My Go To Tape Measure
Absolutely love this tape measure. Feels great in the hand, light yet durable and very easy to read. Will be purchasing one (if not two more) in the future.

Updated Review - was 5 stars, now 3
Oct. 2020: Excellent in every way, and has a great feel to it. Haven’t dropped it off a ladder onto concrete yet but it seems pretty sturdy, and might be okay even without the rubber overmolds the others have. This is an upgrade from Milwaukee tapes that wouldn’t stay locked - I like this one much better.UPDATE Feb. 2022: Have used this tape measure infrequently. Today, after fully extending it and allowing it to return, the last 5-6" of hook end of the tape became twisted/bent. No longer useable.
