Perfect fold-up addition for a studio with a big easel. Sturdy enough for the price too.
This applies to the easel without the drawer. I have a big Cadillac of a floor easel in my studio for larger work, but always prefer working on my nearby work table for smaller paintings to provide an angled support for smaller canvases so I no longer have to paint on them when they lay flat on the table. As soon I got the hang of the wing nut adjustments, I found that this is a handy, relatively sturdy little easel at a good price. The fact that it folds so flat for storage was what won me over. It will never be in the way when I'm not using it.Tip with photos: Before I screw some little rubber bumpers to the base of this easel where the canvas sits, I plan to experiment by attaching 2 or three to a strip of thin lattice wood the same length as the easel base. The bumpers will do the same thing as the "offset bumpers" on larger easels (pictured) to lift the bottom edge of the canvas so you can easily paint to the edge. Stick-on bumpers might work as well, but tend to fall off of everything I've ever used them for. They're all available here on Amazon.

Great little table easel!
This is a great little portable, table easel, adjustable and well made. It is perfect for me as I paint at a table and sometimes move out to the screen house in good weather. Great price as well. I recommend to anyone who paints seated and does not use very large canvases (check the size limitations in the ad).

Well made and perfect size for large paintings
Finally! I can paint my highly detailed 20x16 paint by numbers without having to bend over the table to paint the tiny details in the center of the painting.I paint Dimensions/Paintworks paint by numbers and those that are familiar with them, they know just how highly detailed and exacting they are. The size of brushes required to paint them is typically 0 to 0/20. One needs to be right up on the canvas to see and paint the tiny details. This easel allows me to raise up the canvas and get right up to it and paint the spaces perfectly. I'm a perfectionist so this has been a game changer for me.I find I am able not only to paint perfectly but I am far more comfortable doing so.The easel is sturdy, fully adjustable to any angle, and very well made. It would fit large canvases with ease.I hesitated to get an easel as I read so many bad reviews. However,, after seriously looking around at all the different brands and types, I chose this one for its versatility and construction. I feel I have chosen the best of all the ones available on Amazon and other painting craft stores. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've been using it for 3 months now and haven't found a thing wrong with it. This was a good buy and well worth the price I paid.

Affordable, Functional, Needs Polish, Keep away from children!
The easel is light, sturdy and functional. It is very useful for small projects. It has difficulty with anything larger than A3 size which can expected due to its physical size.Upon removing the easel from the packaging I got a nasty splinter. The wood is rough, especially at the bottom. Some sanding down and a sealer/varnish is required. It does take some effort to keep art supplies in draw secure. With enough padding the draw's contents don't slide around.Oh and did I mention that this easel is portable? Just throw your art supplies into the draw, fold it up, grab the handle and carry it anywhere you want. Makes moving and setting up your work space anywhere a breeze.

Exactly as described
This is great, and so sturdy. Made well, changes angles easily, and adjustable. I love it. Perfect for a desk top.

Take Your Creativity Wherever You Find Inspiration (Even if That's Just the Couch)
I’ve owned this easel for 6 years, and it’s still one of my favorites! It’s extremely well made. Other than the ink and paint I’ve gotten on it, it looks the same as when I unpacked it.I bought it because I needed flexibility when and where I create. (Plus, sometimes you just wanna lay on the couch and sketch while you watch TV.) This is the perfect easel for moving your projects around the house with you. It’s my go-to when I want use my small sketchbooks or illustrate cards. But really, it works for anything you might need a hard, portable surface for. I’ve used it to prop up books while I read them. I’ve used it for various craft projects. The limit is only your imagination.I’ve also detached the drawer from the bottom and used it independently to organize supplies for other projects. This would be a great gift for any beginning artists in your life, since it’s a durable, quality piece they could have for years to come.

Inexpensive, decent build quality.
Mostly good materials. All structure is solid oak. The edges and corners are too sharp and could use a bit of a roundover. The wingnuts to adjust the angle are small and sharp edged so I had to buy some threaded knobs (metric size M6) which made it so much nicer but cost anothe $5. The painting surface has extremely thin veneer which is likely going to delaminate when it gets wet several times as will happen with watercolors. Overall it was well worth the $33 but I would have happily paid more if they had addressed these obvious issues.

I want to love it, but…
Oh how I want to love this table too easel, but it’s definitely not perfect. I selected this one over others because of its ability to have complete customized height with the screw adjustments, however I put a lot of my arm weight on the easel, and I felt like I have to tighten, work, tighten more, and do it over and over. Overall it’s good, but I wish it was slightly better quality. I removed the bottom wooden piece which was nice to have that option.
