Q: What age is it suitable for

my grandaughter is 5 1/2 and bright, and can do the first game quite easily. But the second game is a little too difficult but she will grow into it.

Yes, there is a game on both sides of the board, and a 10 year old could do both easily.

Q: How this is different from adult scrabble? ( I understand one side is easy but reverse looks like the same)

it is more simplified for ages 5 to 10 with two modes of play with hinted words. In hindsight i think you might be better off with the adult version to be honest because u get fewer letters (84 vs 100) plus zero tile rack. Anyways i got it at discounted price for my 5 year old twins so they are learning and having fun with each other.
