Wouldn't be without one
This is my second one of these rotary graters, we were a bit heavy handed with the first and the handle kept coming apart. Don't apply too much pressure and they are fabulous. We eat a lot more grated cheese since buying this style of grater. To be fair we only use the grating blades but it makes the job effortless and so much safer no more grated finger tips. We have used it for cheese and carrots both are great. I set mine up on a granite slab and it grips well. Easy to assemble and disable for washing. My other tip is don't get a white one if using for carrots etc as they stain.

Great for grating
Makes grating fun and easy. My 9 year old loves using it. Only issue is the base moves which can be annoying as it doesn’t stick

Love this grater!
Bought this to replace an ancient box grater. I’ve been having lots of salad with grated carrot which takes ages to grate. Saw this (and was pleasantly surprised to find out that after adding it to my basket at £26.99, when I went to the checkout it had been reduced to £22.94. It arrived this morning and after assembling it (which is super simple - the clear plastic top slides sideways into the groove on the base and clicks into place, the chosen drum cylinder pushes sideways into the top, through the hole at the end and the handle attaches to the end and again clicks into place). The suction adhering it to the kitchen worktop was very strong (place on a non-porous surface and twist the dial on the front of the base clockwise and it literally isn’t moving anywhere! Turn anti-clockwise to release the suction). The only slight downside for me is that I would naturally use my right hand to turn the handle and the left hand to push the food into the grater. This meant that I had to face the grater dial away from me (so you have to twist the dial from behind the unit) so the handle was on the right hand side and then you turn the handle away from you to grate the food. To keep the handle on the left hand side you have to turn the handle towards you which feels unnatural. But that’s just personal preference and certainly not a game changer. You start off with pushing the food down with your hand (depending on how long it is) and then when it is level or just below the top of the grater you can use the white plastic plunger to push it the rest of the way down, saving your fingers. There is very little waste too as the plunger almost lands flush to the metal drum blade. Super easy to take apart for cleaning (just push down the button on the handle and the button on the base to release both parts) then hand wash the clear top, the plunger and the drum. Depending on what you are intending on using the grater for, please note there is a little note in the box with the instructions which says it is not suitable for grating ginger or chopping onions. I’ve only tested it with carrot (produces a slightly thicker and longer “grate” than my box grater) and sliced cucumber (which slices fairly thinly so would be good for dauphinois potatoes). Based on what I’ve used it for so far I would definitely recommend this grater.

Excellent piece of kit
The suction doesn't work at all well so you have to use one hand to keep steady but it is still easy to use and very effective

Great grater!
Easy to set up, use, clean and pack away. 3 different grater sizes are quick and easy to swap out. Makes short of cheese and veg.Great value and effective.

Good product
Very good product. Takes a bit of strength to push the item down to be shredded but find good overall.

Could have been so much better
Bought this to replace a board type but was concerned it was only a matter of time before I lost my knuckles or the tip of a finger. The rotary design of this one made it an attractive purchase, leading me to think it would be so much better. Build quality of this is very good, no concerns regarding the materials used and how long they will last. However, as much as it looks the part, it does suffer from 2 major flaws. The first flaw is the suction. I’ve seen other reviews saying it is good yet it could have been so much better in my opinion. I have tried it on a worktop which is where you normally would and the suction works, as long as you don’t use the device! As soon as you start turning the handle the device inevitably rocks backwards and forwards, and so unsucks itself from the worktop. You need to really push down on the device to give it a hope of remaining suctioned to the worktop. Perhaps glass type surfaces work best here, but for a worktop mine was rubbish. The sharpness of the graters is the other major flaw. 2 of them seem to have adequate sharpness however on first try with the larger grater I found I had to push down with quite some force whilst turning the handle was difficult- producing a lot more liquid than I’d have liked. It seemed to be blending rather than grating. I had ironically bought a diamond file not long before (psychic powers), and used it to sharpen the grater as per the photo. The grater is now sharp and not as much pushing down is required but the suction problem is still annoying. If you have arthritis or weak muscles I would look at a different product because it really shouldn’t be that difficult to turn a handle without quite so much effort to hold the device in place. This product could have been so much better.
